ABOUT

Dr Tracy Long completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and a research Honours year in the Cognitive Neuropsychology laboratory at the University of Melbourne, followed by postgraduate Medicine (MBBS) and a Masters of Psychiatric Medicine, also at the University of Melbourne. She completed her specialist training in psychiatry at the Alfred Hospital, where she worked as a consultant from 2016-2022 across Youth and Adult programs, including the HOPE suicide prevention program. She was previously the Director of the Developmental Trauma Program at Albert Road Clinic, where she also had a private practice until 2023.

Dr Tracy Long is patient-centred, holistic and collaborative, combining biological approaches with psychological and psychosocial interventions. She is recovery oriented but accepts that recovery looks very different for different people. She is happy to work with families, carers and external agencies where appropriate.

Please note Dr Long does NOT do:

- 291 (one-off) assessments (unless discussed and accepted as appropriate)

- medico-legal work or any reports for any legal purposes

- TAC, Workcover, or any other insurance reports e.g., TPD.

- NDIS reports (although general diagnostic reports can of course be used for NDIS purposes)
